FROM WIKIPEDIA, THE FREE ENCYCLOPEDIA

Honey bee

A honey bee is a eusocial flying insect within the genus Apis, native to mainland Afro-Eurasia. Honey bees are known for their construction of perennial colonial nests from wax, the large size of their colonies, and surplus production and storage of honey.

Human cultivation of honey bees, or beekeeping, has been practiced for millennia. Their communication has been studied in ethology, while the geometry of their comb connects to mathematics and optimization.

PRODUCT BLUEPRINT

From skeleton to daily ritual.

A focused proposal for a fair, social, replayable knowledge game.

01

Core loop

One shared start and target each day. Players navigate an isolated Wikipedia article view; only valid internal links count. Lowest clicks wins, with elapsed time as the tie-breaker.

02

Identity

Email or social sign-in, persistent display name, country, streak, personal bests, and friend graph. Guests can practice but do not post ranked scores.

03

Fair play

Server-issued run tokens, immutable click event logs, monotonic server timestamps, no search/back controls, rate limits, and anomaly flags for impossible navigation.

04

Daily content

A curator selects reachable, interesting pairs. An automated graph check verifies paths, blocks disambiguation traps, and estimates a target difficulty of 5–9 clicks.

05

Data model

Users, challenges, runs, click_events, friendships, and daily_ranks. Store article IDs and revisions so every competitor races on identical content.

06

Launch plan

Phase 1: accounts and global ranking. Phase 2: friends, sharing, streaks. Phase 3: leagues, archives, creator challenges, moderation, and localization.

Recommended architecture

Responsive web app → edge API → relational database + daily Wikipedia content cache. Background jobs ingest article graphs and compute rankings. Privacy-first analytics measure starts, completions, retention, and suspicious runs.
